What a nice little hometown Cafe. They have exceptional food and great service! Will definitely be back.

BEWARE of the chef. I have been eating at Avery’s for years. We had the worst experience last week. I was with my wife, 6,8 and 11 year old children. The waitress turned are order in to be scorned by the female chef. I believe she may be the owner? The chef screamed, belittled and yelled at the waitress over the order. It was loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. I have never seen this type of behavior even from my children let alone an employer. The waitress was embarrassed, my children were asking me questions and my wife and I were shocked in disbelief. I will never set foot in Avery’s again. I will tell everyone I know as well.

I hired Avery's Cafe to cater a women's retreat at Lakeside last weekend. I was very favorably impressed with every step of the process. Scott was professional and courteous as we reviewed menu options at the early stages. Our meals were delivered on time and with attention to an appetizing presentation. All of the food arrived fresh and delicious, at the appropriate temperature and with serving items we needed. I will plan to work with Avery's again and recommend them to anyone needing a caterer up at the Lake this summer.

Clean, bright. Good coffee, friendly staff. Will be back for breakfast or lunch soon.

Food was great, but lousy service. The waitress payed to much attention to her phone and chatting with other staff. Had to flag her down every time we needed something.

Stopped on the way back from visiting the lighthouse. It was a rainy cool summer day. A little too windy to sit outside, so we opted in. The service was quick and efficient, the food was excellent. Great place to stop for lunch. I highly recommend.

Breakfast there is amazing! Can't go wrong. Went back 5 days in a row this week with my family while on vacation in Marblehead. All the breakfast items are well worth the inexpensive price you cant go wrong. I recommend the omelette and the pancakes. Today we saw a deer family across the street while eating breakfast here. Servers are friendly and i know we will be back again.

Wonderful food and excellent Eggs Benedict!

Aug 30...Nothing expensive, nothing fancy. Eco-concscious, as in, no straws. Varied menu, with nice selection of salads soups and sandwiches. Good, efficient table service. Breakfast till 1130, later on weekends. Busy, though not crowded. Worth the stop.

Wonderful, friendly cafe with great food ! Staff was so kind to let us in five minutes before they closed. Delicious BLT and great club sandwich.

A lovely cozy cafe decorated with local art. We stopped in for lunch and had soup and salad. The salad was fresh and delicious and the home made tomato soup was great! The staff was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be going back.

Huge disappointment in the way the owner treated the waitress. The waitress has worked here since we’ve been coming here and is awesome! (She is the ONLY reason I am giving one star because the owner doesn’t even deserve that) When she put our order in, the owner screamed at her in front of the customers because of what we ordered!!!! Totally disrespectful and inappropriate. My omelet was burnt and I didn’t send it back because I was afraid the waitress would get in trouble. Now that’s pretty bad. 👎🏻 This will keep us from returning

Very friendly staff. Quick service, we waited for only 20 minutes. Food was very good. Definitely will come back.

Nice staff and service but I couldn't bear to eat the lunch food. DO NOT eat the BBQ Shrimp Poboy, as the bread breaks immediately, they drown everything in sauce, and the shrimp isn't hot. I had to request a new bun and reassemble the entire thing, with the same results. Cole slaw wasn't anything to write home about.

Hidden treasure in Marblehead. My friend and I stumbled upon this place right after our arrival in town, desperate for food. We couldn't have been happier. The waitress was super friendly, recommended the perch (it was some of the best perch I've ever eaten), and gave us more suggestions on places to visit during our stay. 10/10 on the food, service and atmosphere -- especially if you can snag an outside table!

Our hostess was polite and nice but our waitress seemed like we were an after-thought. She never smiled but she wasn’t grumpy either. We got our drinks fairly quickly (they don’t serve straws unless requested) and she took our order in a timely manner. Our table of 8 got club sandwiches, subs, grilled cheese, fries, chicken tenders, and Reuben sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food and there was enough to go around/ share. All orders come with chips and pickles but the chips are regular Lays in a bag and very thinly sliced pickles. You can get fries for extra and they were fairly good. Our waitress only checked on us once after ordering our food and seemed upset that people wanted refills. Overall really good food though.

The food was absolutely terrible. The service wasn't much better. Uncooked eggs, cold food...terrible. I will never go back there!
